Eleanors yoga journey began over 25 years ago with her first yoga teacher training and she has since studied with the three teachers  in the world today who were taught directly by Krishnamacharya (1888-1989)  the renowned father of modern yoga. an Indian Ayurvedic healer, scholar & yoga teacher, these include Sri Ramaswami and the Mohan family. She is currently a private student of his youngest daughter Srishubha, who herself is a esteemed teacher.  Whilst teaching her she often quotes her father and bringing his ancient and traditional teachings alive. This is a privilege as it is a direct connection to the real source of yoga and therefore an experience Eleanor is deeply grateful for.

Through her daily practice of yoga and the sharing of the teachings she saw first hand how beneficial and life changing it can be.

“ I practice classical Hatha yoga daily guided by my breath and it has become my mainstay, like the sunrise and sunset, it just pours into me, teaching me how to live more fully in my body, embrace slow living & to freely pause. It has also helped me to appreciate life and what nature has given me and the freedom & space to find beauty in the little things. Gratitude, faith, nature & yoga are the cornerstone of my daily life, I also love learning to play the piano, painting, celtic and ecospirituality .”

To read about Forestbathing & book an event please continue :

She is a certified guide in Forestbathing. Guided forestbathing walks, the practice of Shinrin Yuko ~ which originated in Japan, are 2 hours long.  The forest is always giving and is the therapist. Therefore her role as a guide is to simply open doors to your senses. Forestbathing is not a hike but a slow walk as less movement brings more being in the moment. It’s not about getting anywhere but just being here. At the end of each walk always closing with a tea ceremony and healthy snacks.

Events for nature connection and wellbeing;

Connect with nature and discover your own true nature. Some events incorporate kayaking in the forest, see reviews below for these from 2023.  Cost €25 pp & to secure your spot prepayment upon booking is required. Upon booking details of exact location / meeting point will be sent to attendees with suggestions about what to wear & bring.

When I Am Among the Trees

by Mary Oliver

When I am among the trees,  especially the willows and the honey locust,  equally the beech, the oaks and the pines,  they give off such hints of gladness.  I would almost say that they save me, and daily.

I am so distant from the hope of myself,  in which I have goodness,and discernment,    and never hurry through the world  but walk slowly,  and bow often.

Around me the trees stir in their  leaves  and call out,  “Stay awhile.”  The light flows from their branches.

And they call again,  “It’s simple,”  they say,  and you too have come  into the world to do this,  to go easy,  to be  filled  with light,  and to shine.
